Progetto per il recupero del legno delle barrique, botti da 230 litri
CONCEPT:
L’idea di fondo è di ricercare semplicità, similitudine e memoria. Creando contemporaneamente un prodotto utile, funzionale e che esteticamente mettesse in evidenza la bellezza naturale e la qualità dei materiali dell’oggetto da cui è nato. Abbiamo voluto realizzare un cesto da tavola utilizzando solamente il materiale ricavato dalla barrique. La forma dell’oggetto ricorderà pertanto la botte sezionata al centro, in orizzontale, come se la barrique venisse schiacciata dall’alto, rimpicciolita ed esplosa. Gli spazi fra un listello e l’altro lasciano intravedere lo splendido gioco di colori del rovere fra interno ed esterno, a contrasto con il top e il fondo rivestiti in metallo. Il cesto può contenere frutta o altri alimenti per la tavola e in questo senso torna ad essere contenitore di piacere, aroma ed emozione, come nella vita precedente.

Project for the recovery of the wood of the barrique, barrels of 230 liters
CONCEPT:
The basic idea is to seek simplicity, similarity and memory. While creating a useful, functional and aesthetically it emphasizes the natural beauty and the quality of the material object from which it was born. We wanted to make a basket for the table using only the material obtained from the barrel. The shape of the object, therefore, remind the barrel sectioned at the center, horizontally, as if the barrels were crushed from above, scaled down and exploded. The spaces between a strip and another glimpse of the wonderful play of colors of oak between interior and exterior, in contrast to the top and the bottom covered with metal. The basket can contain fruits or other foods for the table and goes back to being a container of pleasure, flavor and emotion, as in his previous life.
