Dress Home Less

è uno dei 20 progetti selezionati dal concorso “Design for Volunteering” 2012 di Utilità Manifesta / Design For Social

CONCEPT:
Il progetto nasce dall’idea di fornire alla fascia di persone particolarmente svantaggiate dei senzatetto un oggetto che sia utile e pratico, costruito con semplici materiali e tecniche, facilmente trasportabile e a basso costo di produzione. Svolge 3 funzioni: abito/coperta, impermeabile, riparo.

Dress Home Less è composto da 2 parti: la prima è ricavata da materiale impermeabile utilizzato nelle cerate. La seconda è costituita da un tessuto caldo come può essere il pile.
Le due parti possono essere facilmente assemblate ad esempio attraverso l’utilizzo di bottoni a pressione o strep.
La parte in tessuto è utilizzabile come cappotto con cappuccio ma può anche fungere da coperta. Il telo cerato invece si può applicare al tessuto/abito con bottoni a pressione diventando così impermeabile alla pioggia e al vento.
All’occorrenza il telo impermeabile si può trasformare in un piccolo rifugio, utilizzando semplici pezzi in legno o rami che vengono inseriti in apposite asole applicate sulla parte interna del telo.
Entrambe le parti possono essere piegate e trasportate con estrema facilità.

MATERIALE:
Telo cerato, tessuto, bottoni, bottoni a pressione o strisce strep. Dress Home Less può essere realizzato industrialmente ma anche in autonomia, utilizzando materiali reperibili a bassissimo costo o addirittura a costo zero poiché possono essere recuperati da mercatini dell’usato, associazioni di volontariato ecc…

CONCEPT:
The project start from the idea of providing the range of homeless people who are particularly disadvantaged an object that is useful and practical, built with simple materials and techniques, portable and low cost of production. Dress Home Less performs 3 functions: dress / blanket, waterproof, shelter.

Dress Home Less is composed of 2 parts: the firstis made from waterproof material used in the waxed. The second consists of a tissue can be as hot as the pile.
The two parts can be easily assembled for example through the use of press studs or strep.
The tissue part can be used as a coat with a hood but can also act as a blanket. The tarpaulin instead can be applied to the tissue/dress with snaps making it impervious to rain and wind. 
If necessary, the tarpaulin can be transformed into a small shelter, using simple pieces of wood or branches that are placed in special slots on the inside of the tarpaulin. 
Both sides can be folded and transported easily.

MATERIAL:
Tarpaulin, tissue, buttons, snaps or strips strep. Dress Home Less can be industrial made but also made by themselves with available materials with a very low cost or even at no cost because they can be retrieved from flea markets, voluntary associations etc…
